Teri received her Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing from the University of Colorado, Health Sciences Center, currently the University of Colorado, College of Nursing, in 2002. After working as a Registered Nurse for five years, she decided to further her education and enrolled at Regis University, where she received her Master of Science degree in Nursing, with honors, in 2009. She was certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner that same year. Teri prefers practicing home-based primary care because it allows her to provide care to her patients in their own homes, where they feel most comfortable. Due to health challenges and/or mobility issues, it can be difficult for patients to get to a clinic. Bloom’s model of care allows them to receive medical care in the place they’re most comfortable and is the most convenient for them. Born in Iowa, Teri has lived in the Denver area for most of her life. She has three adult daughters and a cat named Daisy, who she adores. Her daughters are pretty great too. When she’s not working, you can find her visiting farmers’ markets, baking something yummy or relaxing at home.
