Joy attended nursing school at the University of Colorado at Anschutz for her BSN. She then worked at the University of Colorado Hospital on the Acute Care of the Elderly Unit for over 11 years caring for older adults. Joy earned her MSN at the University of Colorado with a specialty in adult gerontology primary care. She enjoys practicing home-based primary care so she can keep her patients healthy at home. Frequent visits with Bloom’s model allow the delivery of individualized, high touch, and compassionate care to help patients meet their goals. When not working, Joy values time exploring the world with her husband and two daughters and reading, cooking, and gardening.
