Sabs Sheppard, RN, earned her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado College of Nursing. Prior to becoming a registered nurse, she practiced as a Physical Therapist in Germany, where she developed a strong appreciation for patient-centered care and helping individuals maintain their quality of life. Sabs currently works as a Surgical Trauma ICU nurse and is passionate about supporting patients and families through some of life’s most challenging and meaningful moments. Her experiences in critical care fostered a deep appreciation for compassionate end-of-life care and the importance of honoring each patient’s goals, values, and wishes. She was drawn to Bloom Healthcare’s commitment to providing individualized care in the comfort of patient’s homes, where meaningful relationships with patients and families can be cultivated. Sabs finds the greatest fulfillment in helping patients feel heard, respected, and supported while maintaining comfort, dignity, and quality of life. Outside of nursing, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and taking advantage of Colorado’s outdoors through hiking, trail running, paddle boarding, and rock climbing.
