Lauren is originally from Massachuestts. After some time in Pennsylvania and New York, she moved out to Colorado. She received her BSN from Villanova University and her masters from the University of Colorado. After receiving her BSN in 2006 she worked as a nurse in various hospital settings until 2017, when she completed her masters degree. Lauren initially went into nursing because of a general interest in the nursing field. She immediately loved the excitement that came with working in a critical care environment. What drove her to become a primary care nurse practitioner (and continues to drive her care!) was a desire to effect change in each of her patients lives, through focused and preventative care- essentially to improve her patients’ quality of life, and keep them out of the hospital. She is also passionate about never leaving a patient feeling as though they’re just a number, a time slot, or a disease process to be treated. Lauren strives to work towards eliminating healthcare disparities- namely for all patients to have access to the care they need, no matter their geographic area or personal demographics. In her spare time, Lauren likes to spend time with family, friends, and her dogs. She loves to be outdoors, exploring all that Colorado has to offer. She I especially loves to spend her time snowboarding, hiking, rock climbing, and reading. Lauren really enjoys the emphasis Bloom places on every patient’s quality of care, at every visit. She also loves that Bloom stays focused on each patient’s perception of his or her health and goals for care, not just what we as providers think the care should be. She enjoys working for a company that embodies a patient-centered care model.
