Annie attended nursing school at the University of Connecticut and worked as an RN in medical-surgical, oncology, and urgent care settings. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing at the University of Colorado Anschutz in Adult Gerontology Primary Care and participated in the Geriatric Workforce Enhancement Program, a fellowship designed to increase advance practice nurse and social work students’ knowledge of how to best care for older adults. Annie appreciates the deeper connection that home-based primary care fosters between providers and patients. She believes that Bloom’s model encourages more thorough, personalized care than is often found in a traditional clinic setting. Annie enjoys being outside with her husband, son, and two dogs. She loves mountain biking, cooking, comedy podcasts, and long dog walks.
