Michaela earned her Master of Science in Nursing from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, with a study focus of Adult-Gerontology Primary Care. In her career, she has engaged in nursing research and she is passionate about patient education and advocacy, promoting healthy aging and cardiovascular health, as well as managing complex chronic diseases. Her nursing background includes eight years working in Intensive Care and Cardiovascular areas. Her unique experience in nursing has given her a passion for preventative care and has drawn her to pursue a career in primary care.
