Laura is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who earned her Doctorate in Nursing Practice from The College of St. Scholastica in Duluth, Minnesota, after a career as a registered nurse in ambulatory surgery in Bemidji, Minnesota. She brings advanced clinical training, a strong foundation in evidence-based practice, and a commitment to holistic, patient-centered care.
Laura prefers home-based primary care because she believes that caring for patients in their own environments fosters deeper understanding and trust. This approach also enables meaningful prevention of avoidable hospitalizations through education and empowerment. She is particularly drawn to Bloom Health Colorado’s model of care, which emphasizes building long-term relationships, proactive management, and meeting patients where they are—both clinically and personally.
What she finds most meaningful about caring for patients in their homes is the opportunity to improve quality of life by addressing medical, functional, and psychosocial needs in an integrated way. She is passionate about helping patients maintain independence and dignity while supporting families as partners in care.
Outside of her practice, Laura enjoys being creative, has a strong passion for learning, and values staying physically active. She loves taking her two boys to the gym, doing CrossFit workouts with her husband, and tackling the Manitou Incline with the entire family.
