Laura grew up in Pueblo, Colorado. She graduated from the University of Colorado with a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing in 2008, and then worked as a nurse in a step-down cardiac Intensive Care Unit. After gaining nursing experience, she returned to school and graduated with her Master of Science degree as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner. She started working for Bloom Healthcare in 2014 and has enjoyed building relationships with her patients and their families since that time. Laura is passionate about palliative care, helping people age in place and assisting patients to meet their healthcare goals through joint decision making. Laura likes working for Bloom healthcare because of the service-driven work environment. In her spare time she enjoys traveling, music, cooking, camping and keeping up with her young son.
