John Freeman is a Board member and Co-Founder of Bloom Healthcare. John has nearly two decades of leadership experience in the Home Health, Hospice & and Palliative Care service lines.John has served in local, regional and executive roles for some of the nation’s largest providers of care.
Prior to his involvement with Bloom Healthcare, Mr. Freeman co-founded and lead Honor Hospice, an award-winning, end of life provider in the Colorado market. As CEO, Mr. Freeman led Honor Hospice to become a market leader, both in size as well as patient outcomes and family satisfaction. In 2015, Honor was awarded a Denver Post “Best Places to Work” nomination.Mr. Freeman successfully exited Honor Hospice via acquisition in 2016 to a Fortune 100 organization.
For more than a decade, John held multiple roles at both Amedisys Home Health and Home Health and Hospice. These roles included both Regional and National Sales responsibilities, as well as startup and Operational oversight. Having cut his teeth with these industry leaders, Mr. Freeman became well versed in healthcare de novo and acquisitions, organizational build out and structure, federal and state regulation and compliance guidelines, and the instilment of rewarding work cultures and environments.
In his free time, John enjoys coaching his son’s football team, running with his dogs and playing golf with his children.
Mr Freeman still holds active Home Health and Hospice Administrator licenses with CAHSAH.
