Dr. Whitacre is passionate about practicing medicine in a way that honors the values of the individual. She believes in medicine that is not based solely on algorithm, rather one that incorporates the practice of the art of medicine at its utmost, allowing the patient’s values and goals to direct the plan of care.

Prior to her time with Bloom, Dr. Whitacre served as the Senior Medical Director for Kindred House Calls’ national practice after nearly five years practicing as a physician for the practice. She also spent time delivering care in rural and critical access settings.

Despite serving as the Chief Medical Officer for a practice reaching thousands of homebound patients, Dr. Whitacre continues to practice and impact lives in her capacity as a home care physician.

In her free time, she enjoys ballroom dancing, hiking, biking, skiing and being a super mom to her children.
