Joanna is originally from New Orleans, LA. Prior to receiving her MSNP from CU Anschutz, she graduated from UTHealth in Huston where she then worked as an RN for 8 years. Joanna has always loved helping people and was inspired by her aunt who was an inpatient med-surg RN. She is passionate about LGBTQ+ rights and feels that healthcare providers should support this community with sensitivity and respect – just as they would any other human being. In her spare time, Joanna loves to read fiction and science fiction books. She also loves to take part in outdoor activities such as hiking and skiing with her kids. Joanna loves that Bloom is focused on providing high quality holistic patient care and is extremely supportive of their employees.
